From Saltney to Swansea - Plaid fight for every vote

Plaid Honorary President Dafydd Wigley has vowed to fight for every vote from Saltney to Swansea during a special whistlestop visit to Alyn and Deeside to wish Plaid Cymru candidate Maurice Jones well in the forthcoming general election.

Speaking at Saltney with Plaid candidate Maurice Jones, Dafydd Wigley said:

''Many voters are turning away from the Westminster-based parties in this election."

“Plaid's outstanding record of being clean of sleaze at Westminster, and of giving the lead to avoid such problems in the Assembly makes Plaid candidates - like Maurice here in Alyn and Deeside constituency - a natural choice for voters disgruntled with the London parties."

“Plaid stands to win its highest-ever tally of seats in the new House of Commons in the forthcoming election."

“Every vote strengthens the Party's hands in fighting for a better deal for Wales.”

Plaid candidate Maurice Jones said:

“Dafydd Wigley is a well-respected national politician who, along with other Plaid MPs during the 1970s, secured the best deal for Wales in the last hung Parliament. I too hope that I can achieve the same for the people of Alyn and Deeside if elected on May 6th.”

“In all parts of Wales from Saltney to Swansea people are turning to Plaid Cymru because they know that only Plaid will champion the causes that are important to the communities in which we live.

“All the big London-based parties are financed by the same bankers and business men that got us in this mess in the first place, they all holiday on the same yachts and they all have their snouts in the same gold-plated trough
